About

A small team that says what it can and cannot do

TanmayiSoft is five people in Indore, India, building websites, ecommerce platforms, mobile apps and custom software for clients here and abroad. This page is about how we work and who does the work, because for a team this size those are the same question.

Why this exists

Started from the other side of the table

Shekhar Parmar started TanmayiSoft after years spent on both sides of a software project — first writing code, then selling it.

That second part is the useful bit. Working in business development at software companies means sitting in the conversations where a project goes wrong: a client who was promised something that was never realistic, a scope agreed in a hurry and argued over for months, a timeline quoted before anyone understood the requirement. Most of those problems were decided in the first week, long before a line of code existed.

There was also a stretch running a business in an entirely different trade — ceramics and tiles — which teaches a thing software people often miss: what a customer actually worries about when they hand over money.

Starting something was always the plan. TanmayiSoft is the version of an agency built by someone who had already watched what makes clients unhappy.

How we work

What we will not do

Every agency says it is honest. It is worth being specific about what that means in practice, because a claim you cannot test is not worth much.

We do not make commitments we cannot keep. If a deadline is not realistic, we say so before you sign rather than after. If a feature will cost more than it is worth, we say that too. Losing a project on an honest estimate is cheaper for both sides than winning it on an optimistic one.

We turn down work that should not be built. Unauthorised applications, anything that clones a service without permission, anything illegal — we decline, and we say why. This comes up more often than you might expect, and the answer is always the same.

We say when something is outside what we do well. If a project needs expertise we do not have, telling you that is more useful than taking the work and learning on your budget.

Method

Most problems are requirement problems

Projects rarely fail because something was hard to build. They fail because two people meant different things by the same sentence.

So we spend the first stage properly. What the project has to achieve, who it is for, what happens in the awkward cases nobody mentions in the brief, and how we will know it worked. It gets written down and agreed before design starts.

Then the work runs to that scope. If something needs to change — and it often does, because people learn what they need by using things — we price the change and you decide before we build it. Nothing appears on an invoice that you have not already agreed to.

It is not a complicated process. It is just done at the start, when it is cheap, rather than in month three, when it is not.

The team

Five people, and you will know which one is on your project

We are deliberately small. That means direct access to whoever is building your project, and it also means we take on what we can deliver properly rather than everything that comes in.

Communication

Whatever is easiest for you

Call, WhatsApp or email — we work with whichever you actually check. Most clients settle into one within the first week.

Our hours are 11:00 to 19:00 IST, which is 05:30 to 13:30 UTC. That covers the UK morning, the whole working day in the Gulf and the European afternoon. For clients in the US we schedule calls at a time that works for you and keep everything else asynchronous.

During a build you get a staging URL you can open at any time, so you are never waiting for a reveal. We update you when something meaningful changes rather than sending a status report that says nothing.

In short

We turn ideas into intelligent code. If you can describe what you want built, and it can be built, this is a reasonable place to start.
