Website design and development
We design and build websites on a custom stack. Fast, editable by your team, hosted wherever you like, and yours to take elsewhere if you ever want to.

Redesigning is not just a new look. Done carelessly it costs you the search rankings and the traffic the old site spent years building.
The problem
Our approach
A redesign is a migration project wearing a design brief. We start by auditing what is there — which pages get traffic, which earn search impressions, which have links pointing at them — because that decides what survives. Content that still works is carried across; content that is out of date gets rewritten with you. Then every old URL is mapped to its new equivalent before anything goes live, and the site is rebuilt to be fast, responsive and editable by your own team.
Scope
Every page crawled and classified: keep, rewrite, merge or drop, against real analytics and search data.
Pages, copy and images that still earn their place are carried across rather than thrown away.
Where content is out of date, we work from what you supply and rewrite it for how people actually search and read.
Every old URL mapped to its closest new equivalent, agreed with you, applied before launch and verified after.
Responsive from 320px up, built on a custom stack rather than a page builder.
Image pipeline, caching and deferred scripts, measured against a target agreed up front.
Your team edits copy, images, case studies and meta tags without a developer.

The stack follows the requirement. If something else fits better, we will say so.
Questions
Not if the migration is done properly, which is most of the work. Every old URL gets a 301 redirect to its closest new equivalent, mapped from a real crawl and your Search Console data rather than guessed at. Expect rankings to move for a few weeks after launch — a dip that recovers is normal. A dip that does not usually means a redirect is wrong, which is why we watch the 404 log daily for the first fortnight.
Yes, where it still works. We audit every page first and tell you what is worth keeping, what needs rewriting and what nobody has visited since 2023. Content that earns traffic is carried across as it is.
Then it gets rewritten, and we will need you for that part — the facts have to come from you. Be honest with yourself about who is writing it and when, because this is the single most common reason a redesign runs late.
Sometimes. Often the problem is a page builder loading a hundred kilobytes of CSS it never uses, uncompressed images, or a hosting plan too small for the traffic — and one of those can be fixed without a rebuild. We will tell you if that is your situation rather than selling you a redesign you do not need.
Yes. That is what the CMS is for, and it covers the parts you will actually want to change. If something is missing later, tell us and we will add it rather than doing it for you every time.
A site of eight to twelve pages is usually six to ten weeks, assuming content arrives as agreed. Larger sites take longer, mostly because of the audit and the redirect work rather than the build.
